Top Ten Tuesday (#1)

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where they post a new top ten list every week and ask bloggers to share their picks as well.

Today's Top Ten Tuesday Topic: Top Ten Books on my Summer TBR List

I have a lot of books that I want to read this summer, many of which have not released yet, so it's hard for me to decide completely on just ten novels, but here they are!

1. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Barduo
I've heard a lot about this book since its recent release, so I am hoping that it lives up to all the hype it has recently been receiving.
2. Something Like Normal by Trish Dollar
Surprisingly, this novel is set to release today and I've been eyeing both its beautiful cover and intriguing synopsis for months now. I can't wait to finally read this!
3. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
Code Name Verity is a novel that has gotten seemingly mixed reviews, but having read and liked Wein's previous works, I'm sure I'll love this.

4. Defiance by C.J. Redwine
With a cover like that who could possibly resist this book? Not only does it look kick-ass, it sounds kick-ass too and the synopsis hints at a plot-line and love story that I am bound to love, so I am very excited for this release!
5. Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard
I've been hearing a lot about this book from ARC Reviewers and am thrilled about its eventual release. I'm hoping this will prove to be a worthy collection on the shelf of paranormal fiction and am excited to read Dennard's take on zombies, the walking dead.
6. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
I've had my eye on this novel ever since its cover was revealed and since then, I've only read gushing reviews of it from ARC Owners. Needless to say, with a gorgeous cover, intriguing synopsis, and positive reviews, I am more than a little excited to get my hands on this book.
7. Enshadowed by Kelly Creagh
Ever since that cliffhanger ending of Nevermore, I've been dying to find out what happens next in Varen and Isobel's story, so this is one new installment I am definitely waiting for!
8. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga
I Hunt Killers is another novel that has been making waves in the book blogging community. I am extremely curious to read this and see how the unique subject that Lyga writes about is executed.

9. Spark by Brigid Kemmerer
Like most of the blogging community, I too was enamored by Kemmerer's debut, Storm, and I simply cannot wait to read its sequel! Spark is told from Gabriel's POV, so I am curious to see how this differs from the dual perspectives of Chris and Becca in the previous novel.
10. Fury by Shirley Marr
Shirley Marr is one of the few Australian Authors I have not gotten the opportunity to read this year although I really wanted to, so I am excited to be reading her debut this summer!

These novels are just a few of the hundreds off of my TBR Shelf, but they are definitely the ten books I am most excited to be reading this summer. There are still plenty of excellent debuts making their release over the next three months as well as countless other novels I have yet to read from this past year, but I am most certainly looking forward to a summer of voracious reading!

    1. Same! I'm actually wishing I had pre-ordered it since I would have gotten it by now, but I'm hoping to pick it up soon and finally read it. It sounds great!(:

I love hearing from my readers and I read, reply, and appreciate every one of the comments I receive!(: If you're a fellow blogger, please leave a link to your blog - I'd love to drop by!

Unfortunately, this is now an award-free blog. I simply do not have the time to respond and forward on the award, but I truly appreciate the nomination regardless.
