Can you believe it? I can't. In all honesty, this has been the hardest year of my life. Junior Year in America is no walk in the park. I've had Major Life Changing Exams every month and have been taking ridiculously hard classes I now regret taking and in the midst of all that I've been blogging. Seriously, it's thanks to you all that I am sane and even made it through the year. Every comment, every conversation, every kind word - it all made my day and, really, my year. I can't wait to have many, many more blogoversaries in the future and make even more amazing friends.
HUGE thank you's to...

Inge for encouraging me to start my own blog. I wouldn't be here without you! Also, thank you for your loooong e-mails that make my day and your fabulous Tom Felton GIFs that bring a smile to my face every time! ;)
Aneeqah for being the very person person to comment on my blog and one of my most faithful followers still.
Sam, Rachel, Olivia, Jenny, Wendy, Rey, Melissa, Asheley, Tanja, Heather and Amanda for their wonderful comments!
Steph Su for encouraging me to read Jessica Darling - which I then proceeded to absolutely LOVE. Also, thanks to Sarah for forcing me to read that series as well, not to mention many others. I also love your podcasts. A lot.
Jasprit for all our crazy read-alongs, your sweet comments and your continued friendship.
Lauren for our great e-mail conversations and ongoing discussions. I would have probably gone crazy if I couldn't shoot an e-mail to you, Lauren, while reading CP2. ;)
Heidi for the numerous recommendations, beautiful reviews that I always look forward to, fantastic read-alongs, and wonderful conversations. You're amazing. I hope you know that.
Maja for my staggering TBR-Pile, for introducing me to every UF Series I currently read, for oozing passion in your reviews so I'm convinced to pick them up, and for all our great book discussions. I love your writing style and I really hope you'll write a book one day. I'll buy it. Promise.
Mandee for being one of the nicest people in the world. Seriously, Mandee has a heart made of gold and she is generous beyond words. Thank you, dear, for not only our book swap (and all the other books you've sent me), but for our conversations and your lovely comments.
Savindi for all of our long e-mails on everything from One Republic and The Script to David Gandy. Also, thanks for letting me know about all the giveaways out there (and helping me win) and for your insight on college and books, especially The Raven Boys.
Flannery & Catie from The Readventurer for being incredibly awesome in their own right. Flann for sending me The Bitter Kingdom (I know you said it wasn't a big deal, but it TOTALLY WAS for me) and for tweeting me and writing me the sweetest comments; Catie for all the fabulous reviews that have pointed me towards some amazing books and for our Blue Sword read-along - thanks to you I wasn't the only one who disliked that one. Also, thanks for giving me the opportunity to guest post on your blog, ladies! :D
And last, but never least, Kailia, my long-lost-twin-sister. We're both Indian. We both love Kristin Cashore. And pretty much every other book we both enjoy is the same too. Nearly all our ratings match up and basically, you're just fantastic. Thanks for all the amazing twitter conversations. You inspire me to blog since you actually read my blog, so I always know that at least one person is reading my posts every day. Congrats on graduating and I can't wait to meet you this summer!(:
If I forgot anyone, please forgive me and shoot me an e-mail. I will reply with an ode to how incredible you are and what an idiot I am for forgetting you. Also, I'd like to thank ALL of my followers, readers, commentors, and subscribers - you're all fantastic and that feeling of happiness that comes from seeing that someone else is reading my blog or from finding a comment from someone new or from just seeing my page view increase never ceases to make me happiest. All of you have supported me this year, so thank you! :)
International Giveaway!
Enough sentimentality, let me let you all win some books! I'm giving away ONE book from the following list - a list of my most anticipated reads for the upcoming year - to one lucky winner INTERNATIONALLY. If I reach 1000 followers (at least 750 on Bloglovin'), I will give away THREE books to three respective winners. I don't expect to reach that many followers, hence the reason I'm being so generous, but if you like my blog then do spread the word. Also, sorry for the continued terrible button and header. I need to change those this summer...
GOOD LUCK! :)

ReplyDeleteOMGeeeee it's your BLOGOVERSARY!!
ReplyDelete*runs around in excitement*
This and This basically describe my emotions at this point.
Seriously girl, I don't even know where to begin! I remember when I stumbled upon this blog of awesomeness a year ago, while I was making my rounds on WoW. Seriously, I was FLOORED by your gorgeous design, and how amazing your reviews were. So I'm always so thankful that I get to claim that I was the first to follow this stunning blog!
And thank you SO much for that shout-out Keertana, seriously. I'm always inspired by your wonderful comments, gorgeous reviews, and the fact that you were able to blog through Junior year, and so consistently at that! I have no idea how I'm going to manage THIS year, let alone Junior year. But you did it! And I will be forever impressed!
Speaking of being forever impressed, that's exactly how I feel about your reviews. I still am so grateful that I get to read your beautiful reviews, and that you spend all the time that you do on them. Because seriously, you have a gift for writing, Keertana. I can only hope that you will continue to write, because the world needs to experience your beautiful prose.
Also, your comments never fail to make my day every time you leave such thoughtful comments on my reviews. It always puts a huge smile on my face! I love how you take the time every time I have a new post up to actually read it and comment. Not many bloggers have awesome readers like you! <3
So I guess I should stop rambling and all that jazz, because I could honestly go on forever, but just know that you are seriously one of the best bloggers I know. Everyone in the blogosphere needs to follow you. You've already done SO well for your first year of blogging, and I know that you will go even further in these future years!
HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY!!! *throws confetti*
Here's to even more years of blogging! Love you to pieces, girl! <3
Happy blogoversary Keertana! I can't believe that it's been a year that you've been blogging for already. Seriously this year has flown by! Thank you for your lovely mention, I had so much fun with our read-alongs in the last year too, there were so many tough reads, that I know I wouldn't have got through them without you! I'm sure there are many more great read-alongs to come for us this year too. Your blog has seriously become one of my favourite ones to visit, I adore reading your gorgeous and insightful reviews and of course adding tons of books to my tbr pile because of them. I hope you have many more wonderful years of blogging ahead of you! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on reaching the one year mark! And THANK YOU for the shout out--we have more podcasts coming (we've recorded two, I just need to edit them) and I hope you like them too.
ReplyDeleteYAY!
Happy Blogoversary :)
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely achieved a lot this year and I look forward to reading more of your reviews on urban fantasy. Have a beautiful week!
Happy Blogoversary!!!! I really like your blog and it's a pleasure to stop by! Thank you darling.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway too! :)
Happy blogverse! I haven't been on your blog long but I'm equally excited for you!
ReplyDeleteHope you continue this awesome hobby for ever and ever! <33
Happy One Year Bloggerversary Keertana! I'm so proud of you :). You've created this wonderful space for readers and you write beautiful reviews! Thank you for the shoutout and I've enjoyed all our conversations. You're like a little sister to me so thank you for that! Thank You for the friendship and I can't wait to see where you go in life :). I know you're going to do wonderful things!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Savindi
Oh my gosh, has it been a year already Keertana? I feel like it's been shorter than that, but I also feel like I've known you for more than a year! Congratulations on one year, and I hope you continue with this blog for years to come!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary to you, Happy Blogoversary to you...
ReplyDeleteK, I have to say it's kind of hard for me to believe you have only been doing this for ONE year! You are such a pro at reviewing and blogging, it seems like you have been at it for so much longer.
I gotta tell you, Lauren and I are always remarking about what an amazing reviewer and critical thinker you are. And to be able to relay those thoughts clearly and succinctly in your reviews is no small feat! And I am convinced that you are at least one part cyborg because your are a READING MACHINE. Honestly I don't know how you do it: reading, reviewing, visiting other blogs and leaving thoughtful, considerate comments, and a FULL TIME high school student at the same time! You are sort of my idol, K.:)
So Happy Blogoversary again, and congratulations on a fantastic year!
Congratulations, Keertana!! I love your blog and your reviews. I always know I'll be adding to my TBR pile when I come here. Your thorough reviews also make it possible to weed reads out by your description which is extremely helpful because I hate wasting my time with something I don't enjoy. I know you have very little reading time, like me, so I only want to pick up things I'm fairly sure I'll enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear for the lovely giveaway!! You know I'm going with Ilona Andrews! ;)
Happy Blogoversary! I hope you have many more in store in the future. <3
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE AMAZING! I want to be you when I grow up :). Actually, I want to start over and capture your ambition. I could barely manage reading for fun when I was in high school, and look at you blogging as you go, and reading more than I can now.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful for you, dear! Your faithfulness in reading my blog is a constant encouragement, as are your thoughtful comments and book discussions. I love that we speak the same book language.
I'm also increasingly impressed with your blog. I wish I had your ability to capture in words how I feel about a book. I love how you know what you like and can express that! Your features and everything else you do also impress me. Plus you're ALWAYS increasing my TBR.
Can't wait to see what other awesomeness you have planned in the future! xo
Congraties on your blogoversary! Oh you have so many great bloggers listed there. They do rock!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have many more years under your belt and have some fun even with all the school work!! :)
Happy blogoversary!! :D
ReplyDeleteMel@thedailyprophecy.
Yay happy blogoversary, Keertana! The book blogging world certainly wouldn't be the same if you hadn't joined. :) I always enjoy reading your thoughtful and well-written reviews, and you've definitely bloated my TBR pile over the past year. Here's to many, many more blogoversaries for you!
ReplyDeleteI totally get the stresses of blogging on top of life, but it's more than worth the commitment, I think. I'll have to look into all of the bloggers that you mentioned here!

ReplyDeleteAwwwwww yayyyyyy! Congrats, Keertana! So happy for you! I love reading your reviews, and I'm so happy I got to meet you, well met you sort of. Lol :P Not in person, but as fellow bloggers, which definitely counts!
ReplyDeleteYou have helped me find so many amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and for that alone, I am forever indebted to you. Was that too much? Oh well! it's your blogoversary! I need to check out some of these other blogs asap! Thanks for the giveaway and here's to another year of your wonderful reviews! :D
Keertana, CONGRATULATIONS. It's so hard to believe that you've only been blogging for a year because it seems like you've been blogging for years and years considering how far you've come! You are one of the most talented review writers, and I can't wait to see what more you have in store for us. And kudos to you for surviving junior year and still managing this wonderful blog consistently! (I'm entering junior year in the fall, *bites nails*) Anyway, congrats again, Keertana! <3
ReplyDeleteThis is late but oh well! First, CONGRATS on your blogoversary!!!!!! I can't believe it's been a year! I've known you for a little over half I believe and its been amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the shout out that made me tear up (as I'm so emotional, as you know). We seriously are long-lost-soul-sisters because I honestly never met anyone who understood how I felt about books before you. And my love for Brigan and Kristin Cashore and Ranbir Kapoor (our plan still stands right?) and basically, everything!
I'm in awe at your ability to not only write beautiful reviews but such in-depth reviews during junior year. As you know, I'm a big fan of your writing style and I can't wait to see what else you've got under your sleeve. You inspire me to blog and write better reviews and well, to be a better person. What more can I ask from a sister?
I love you loads and I can't wait to meet you! There will be hugs and squealing but you knew this already ;)
Happy blogoversary, Keertana!! I'm seriously SO HAPPY that I've gotten to know you and have you in my bookish life over the past year. I always love talking books with you, and I particularly enjoy our read alongs. Your reviews are so beautiful and articulate, you always make me think about books from another angle, and often ones I wouldn't have given a second glance otherwise. Good luck with your exams this week, I'm excited to start The Floating Islands! I actually spent my junior year of high school abroad, so while I kind of completely copped out of the academic end, I will admit that it was one of the hardest years of my life regardless. Senior year will be better!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary, sweetheart! It's so weird, but I actually don't remember this whole blogging business without you, so it seems MUCH longer than a year. It feels like we've both been here forever. True story.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm better at correcting other people's mistakes than doing the actual writing, so I don't think you'll be seeing anything remotely creative from me anytime soon. :)
I see Indigo up there, I actually received a copy days ago and I'm SO looking forward to it... and discussing it with you later.
LOL at that last bit about forgetting people. I would love to see someone email you like, "Hey Keertana, I believe I am amazing and that you may have forgotten to mention my awesomeness so if you could go ahead and tell everyone how sorry you are that you forgot to talk about me and thank me profusely, that would be amazing." Bahahaha. HAPPY FIRST BLOGOVERSARY! You know you are one of my favorite bloggers. Or at least I hope you do. You are always so thoughtful in your reviews and cheerful in your comments and on social media. I'm happy you started your blog and especially happy you've been able to make time in your busy schedule to update it regularly. I know how hard that can be so kudos for keeping it all together. Here's to many, many more blogoversaries to come:) <3
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS! I've loved watching you become one of my favorite bloggers over the past year. Thanks for your constant encouragement and wonderful reviews. We won't speak about The Blue Sword (because there's probably a million rabid fans just waiting in the wings right now to pounce on us). :)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck and here's to year two!

I'm late, but HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY. You're one of my favourite people around, but you knew that already of course. :) I'm so happy for you and your blog, and here's to several more years to come!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on one year, Keertana! It's a huge achievement and I am so glad you've made it. You're an amazing part of this community we have here and I think you are just awesome. So are your reviews and I love your taste in books, and I look forward to many more years blogging with you! Hopefully!
ReplyDeleteOh and a great list of books you have chosen!
