What do I doooo. Somebody please tell me Lela doesn't actually fall for those new love interests, please :(jen7watershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08846577915933999394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-71589846276366716492013-10-28T14:15:18.284-04:002013-10-28T14:15:18.284-04:00I completely agree with everything you mention Kee...I completely agree with everything you mention Keertana! I was a big fan of Sanctum, especially the dark & gritty world and the romance but this one didn't have that same feel to it and the unnecessary angst with the introduction of new characters as potential love interests was definitely not needed.

I'm still super excited for the next book :-)

A fabulous review!Obsession with Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01866538237890994901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-27669508314268950122013-10-27T07:42:10.411-04:002013-10-27T07:42:10.411-04:00Lauren, this is the book I was talking about that ...Lauren, this is the book I was talking about that introduced two more "love interests" who were really just there for jealousy/drama purposes since you know the main couple was never going to deviate from one another. It's another one of those weird not-quite love triangles, so I'm curious to see what you think of it!(:Keertanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01071392026876644282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-38322475849430749302013-10-27T07:16:44.174-04:002013-10-27T07:16:44.174-04:00Okay, I just skimmed this review because I have ye...Okay, I just skimmed this review because I have yet to start this series, and plan to - soonish! But I'm glad that you're still enjoying these books overall even if the second has some flaws, and the author resorted to YA drama to add tension. It's just so unique from everything else out there and I adore the characters. Sanctum, especially, is a favorite of mine. I'd love to know your thoughts on this! :)Keertanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01071392026876644282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-11223310018360903742013-10-22T11:41:51.713-04:002013-10-22T11:41:51.713-04:00I've seen some really good reviews of this one...I've seen some really good reviews of this one, but I've also seen some pretty so-so ones. It still made my heart hurt to read though, and it's in part why I was so emotionally involved, so I couldn't be too mad about it:) I'm glad you still loved Lela overall, she's quickly turned into one of my very favorite heroines!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14199685365145765394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-44378643312436871882013-10-21T15:10:22.844-04:002013-10-21T15:10:22.844-04:00Another glowing review of this book! I could see me also wanting more Malachi, but given that it is Lela's book, perhaps the next will be more Malachi heavy. I have heard only great things about it and I know how much you love it. I need to read it. After the originality of Sanctum, I feared this would turn into your regular predictable paranormal romance, and in a way I feel that it has. I just can't stand to see these amazing characters in the middle of high school drama. They had much more maturity in Sanctum, and Malachi is far too old for such things.
And a cliffhanger, really? I think I'll just stick with Sanctum for now and wait to read this when the next book comes out, even though I preordered.
I'm glad you found something to like.
