YOU SPOKE TO HER? *fangirls* Gosh, that's amazing! I really need to check out that post ASAP! You're so lucky that you get to read amazing books like this one in high school! In America we tend to stick with classics, which aren't bad, but nothing like a good Marchetta contemporary! ;)Keertanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01071392026876644282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-60993510530014640922012-07-15T05:25:02.226-04:002012-07-15T05:25:02.226-04:00I am so, so happy you loved this as much as you di...I am so, so happy you loved this as much as you did! I don't know if you saw it, but I posted a recap after I went to a talk by Melina the other day. She talked about how this book has been out for 20 years this year (we had to read it in high school) and how people often think she wrote Josie to be her but she likes to say that Josie is smarter than she is and that she is nicer than Josie!

This is definitely one of my favourite of her books, it really reminded me of being a teen and her writing is just fantasticVegan YA Nerdshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11244310544451371368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-26944796837997467352012-07-14T15:09:19.195-04:002012-07-14T15:09:19.195-04:00Thanks Rachel!(: I love Marchetta's writing - ...Thanks Rachel!(: I love Marchetta's writing - she is truly phenomenal! Her skill especially shines as she can write novels with serious, heart-felt themes and make them hilarious as well! :D Ah, yes! Josephine's smart mouth! ;) She and Jacob were adorable!<3Keertanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01071392026876644282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3523300192245025551.post-71331424989502721292012-07-14T13:05:29.938-04:002012-07-14T13:05:29.938-04:00I loved this one too Keertana! The grandmother's was heartbreaking when you finally find out what happened. I love how Marchetta can still have you cracking up even when she tells a story like this one. And, oh yes, Jacob was very swoon-worthy and I loved Josephine's smart mouth! Great review. :)Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16682335183798720529noreply@blogger.com
